New York Fashion Week kicked off on February 6th and the runway shows are sizzling. It’s always an exciting time for bloggers, designers, A-listers, and onlookers. What better way to find out what’s trending and get inspired by your favorite designers.
With that said, my model, my assistant and I were off to the Warburtongalerie in Yonkers, NY. What better way to get out of the cold while doing a fashion shoot and enjoy fine art at the same time. If you are ever in the area stop by the Art Gallery. You will not be disappointed. The director, Roddy Wildeman is absolutely awesome. He gave us a wonderful tour of the gallery and insight into the collections on display.
Dressing for Spring is not easy when it’s cold outside. However, since it is New York Fashion Week, I decided to introduce you to a lovely subtle color from the NY Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2019 color pallet – ‘Sweet Corn’. I love how the Pantone Color Institute describes this classic neutral: “Sweet Corn tempts with its soft and buttery attitude”. That is exactly the feel of this lovely pantsuit. It tempts you into getting ready for the upcoming Spring fashion. It is a great way to transition from Winter to Spring. I chose this fabric because of its buttery color and the soft sheen of Satin. I designed the jacket to softly wrap around the waist. The lace trimmed tuxedo style cigarette pant pulls the outfit together. It is a classic, effortless look that can easily take you from the day at the office to an evening affair.
